Why Montpellier?
Montpellier is one of France’s youngest and most vibrant cities—nearly half the population is under 30! Just a short ride from the Mediterranean, it blends beach life with a buzzing, student-friendly city full of festivals, street art, music, and cool cafés. It’s also one of France’s greenest cities, with eco-friendly transport like trams and bike paths everywhere. Best of all, Montpellier is known for being welcoming and safe, so it’s easy to explore with confidence. Sunshine, sea, and good vibes—what else is there?

Optional extra - Film making with ESMA
As a creative optional extra, students can enrol in a workshop run in collaboration with ESMA—one of France’s leading film and animation schools. Alongside daily French lessons and cultural activities, this optional workshop empowers young learners to design characters, build storytelling skills, and produce their very own short. It’s a brilliant way to combine language learning with hands‑on digital creativity.

Meals and Accommodation
Athena students will stay in a modern student residence with big common spaces to hang out, a cafeteria, and either comfy twin or 4-person rooms (each with its own bathroom). Also staying on campus, are the Athena chaperones as well as KLF’s qualified course leaders to guarantee around-the-clock supervision and safety. It’s only a short walk to the school and activities, so no long travel.
All meals are included — healthy, tasty, and with plenty of choice. Students will also be encouraged to experience (and order!) fresh croissants at the local boulangerie, taste different cheeses, and enjoy sweet crêpes — all part of exploring French food culture!
